Scarves
The technology of using plants and insects for dyes is a shared cultural heritage. I’ve studied and strongly rely on the experience of old masters while all the time experimenting with new combinations, methods and designs. The introduction of chemical dyes a century and half ago largely took over because of the ease of use, availability and wide range of colors achieved on new synthetic fibers. I believe it’s time to turn back to natural materials, earthy tones and environmentally sustainable dyes! The scarves are made of 100% wool and silk. They are dyed using local plants and traditional natural dyes. Each of the scarves are individually hand dyed and unique. I’m selling the scarves on fares and directly from my studio.
