During this workshop you will learn the basics of natural dyeing and will do all the steps from extracting the dyes from plants to a finished scarf. You have a choice of 20 locally foraged and traditional natural dyes to work from. This workshop takes place outdoors in the garden outside my studio. Join this fun fiber art workshop where you will dye a wool or silk scarf using plants and other natural dyes. During the 3-hour workshop you’ll learn the process of natural dyeing by extracting dyes from local plants like black walnut and ones from Northern California such as eucalyptus and coffee berry bush leaves that I will bring with me.
