Join this fun fiber art workshop where you will dye a wool or silk scarf using plants and other natural dyes. During the 3-hour workshop you’ll learn the process of natural dyeing by extracting dyes from local plants like black walnut and ones from Northern California such as eucalyptus and coffee berry bush leaves that I will bring with me. There will be a choice of dyes to use and each participant will be working on their own project to make natural dyes for the scarf. You will leave the workshop with a scarf that you created, plenty of formulas, skills and confidence to keep exploring more on your own. This is a hands on workshop for everyone who loves to experiment with natural fibers and dyes.
The maximum group size is limited to 8 persons.
The price is 95 dollars/person including all dyeing materials and one scarf of your choice.Payment at the venue. Major credit cards/checks/cash accepted.
Please note, that this workshop is not suitable for small children, since we handle boiling water.
