This hands on and creative after school program includes learning designing and making textiles from the beginning to a finished product. We work both outdoors and inside the studio in groups of 4 kids. We focus on the joy of learning and working together.
The classes include learning to design and make textiles from beginning to finished product. The curriculum includes learning to:
- create fabric designs using screen printing-techniques
- work with sewing machine and hand-sewing tools
- use spray painting method to up-cycle an old t-shirt or other clothing
- dye wool/silk with California native plants and traditional natural dyes
- use the naturally dyed wool to learn to knit or crochet
- create textile art from recycled denim materials
- learn to appreciate sustainable ways of using textiles
Place: Auli’s Studio, 678 Northern Avenue, Mill Valley
Time: 8 weeks between September 12 - November 12, 3 - 5 PM. NOTE: Weekday yet to be determined.

Prize: $440 + material fee $40
